Dale flies off to a luxury vacation where he indulges in several relaxation activities that don’t go exactly as planned. He and Galinda try to vibe with the universe during a soundbath, but the realization that the land the resort is on might be problematic keeps them from giving over completely to their sound guide, a Canadian woman with an unusual first name. Dale also arranges for a stargazing night with a nerdy professor, a glass-bottom kayak tour that is only missing glass-bottom kayaks and a tour, and he recounts a few other family getaways in the past that also ended up going slightly sideways. Which is not to say that Dale didn’t learn something on this trip. A mourning dove got him thinking about echoes and the way all things might actually just be sound bouncing off a distant asteroid. We’ve heard all of this before.
