Dale asks Helen about her determined path to becoming a beloved panelist on the NPR quiz show, Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me and how many other things she’s been able to conjure simply by writing things down. Helen also shares the many highs and lows she experienced throughout the past two years of the pandemic including becoming a co-parent, having surgery, and taping a new comedy special. The two bond over the utopian ideals of Star Trek and the importance of interviewing your elders, or at least asking some questions while it’s still possible to do.
