Deep Night Season 13: Native Harrow

Dale ushers in a new era of the podcast with this special season premiere episode featuring music and conversation from Pennsylvania-based musical duo, Native Harrow. From their quarantined life outside of Philadelphia, Devin Tuel and Stephen Harms join Dale for a talk about the inspiration and influences that went into heir new album, Closeness. As a fellow old house kid, Devin talks with Dale about friendly spirits, vanishing farms, and problematic flea markets. Dale also finds out more about the singular sound of the Martin guitar and how that beautiful noise drew the duo closer together. All season long, Dale’s hoping to find someone willing to join his new commune, but it seems like for Native Harrow, they’re going to take a wait and see approach. Plus Dale features a track from Native Harrow’s latest album and debuts a new theme song by Maryam Qudus. All that and a few updates from Dale on his pandemic summer to begin the 13th season of the program.
