Dale reflects back on the challenges, losses, and elusive silver linings of the past year with comedian Allison Rose. Originally from the wheat fields of Kansas, Allison made the bold decision to move to New York City in the fall of 2020. A stand-up and writer, Allison shares her observations about life and comedy in New York during COVID. She and Dale explore the inner determination and faith it takes to keep going even as everything seems to be going in the wrong direction, and the two discuss some of the things they miss most about their lives before masks and social distancing. Honoring absence, the creative process, and moving forward, this episode also features the debut of Louise, a new song by Brooklyn-based trio, The Ladles, (Katie Martucci, Caroline Kuhn, and Lucia Pontoniere). Plus Dale remembers his friend, and fellow talk show host, Catie Lazarus. With warm wishes for the holidays and hope for the bright new year ahead.
