Dale acknowledges the effects of quarantine induced cabin fever with Los Angeles-based comedian Merrill Davis. Eager to speak to anyone not in their immediate personal orbits, Dale and Merrill shake out some anxiety and outrage over the world’s situation, with Dale reporting on what it’s like to have a rare emotional breakdown in public and sharing how much he misses the streets of Manhattan. Merrill tells Dale how she’s faring, while also filling in some blanks for Dale about her comedy career and why it seems like they know each other. Merrill articulates some post-pandemic goals which Dale posts to the Deep Night vision board of the air. In the end, this episode sounds exactly like two people who might be a little freaked out about everything and are excited to make a connection. Here at Deep Night HQ we suggest the listener try to do the same. Make a phone call. Reach out. None of this is easy. And not everyone has a soothing banjo at the ready.
