Deep Night Season 12: Dale Cancels Christmas

Dale participates in cancel culture by crossing out lots of problematic holiday traditions in this solo episode. Elf on the Shelf? Mistletoe? Things are not looking good for you in 2020. Dale reflects on his all-time favorite decades, visits the Little Drumming Boy, reads from a daily journal he tried to keep, and offers some helpful ways to practice self-care while in the smothering embrace of family over the holiday break. He also faces some pretty painful times in an abandoned K-Mart. Dale gains encouragement from a fan and sends his very best to all his listeners for a bright and prosperous New Year.

The first show of 2020 finds Dale at SF Sketchfest, presenting his all-new variety show set inside his new crystal shop, Deep Night with Dale’s World of Gems. The shop is open and you never know who may stop in, although we’re pretty sure it will include Arden Myrin, JoAnn Schinderle, Kasper Hauser, Andrew Orolfo, Phoebe Bottoms, and More! Plus an animation from Leanne Rule and music by Zelma Stone. Tickets and info up on deepnightshow.com. January 19th 10pm at The Gateway Theater.
